Michelle wanted to take the boys picture for our annual Christmas card. The weather around here has been wacko. One day it's 28 in the morning then another it's 70. Well, after a weird week of cold and warm weather, mother nature decided to be extremely windy (25-35 mph)on Saturday. Sunday was windy too, but in the late afternoon it died down. We used our neighbor's field again (thanks Mr. and Mrs. V), there's just something about it when the sun gets low and lights up the grass creating that golden glow. After a lot of patience and some threatening, we got several really good images. Here's one.... It's just hard to believe that time passes you by and they grow up. Just yesterday, I was taking Landon's baby pics.... At least, we'll have these to document and remember these blessed times.....

Late Fall Family Session....
The Pierce family shares a special relationship with us. They are family.... Lorena wanted to get a portrait done of the family, so we set up the time and place. The weather was perfect for an outdoor portrait. I think the color choice she made was perfect. The reds just seems to pop. After some coaxing and silly, Elmo behavior (on our part), we got the million dollar image. Photographing families with young children isn't easy (I know, we have three young boys), but it's so satisfying when you get the one image that you're looking for. I hope they like these.... I know in a few years when these boys are older, this image will be cherished.....

An El Paso Wedding....
Tony and Jennifer are a unique couple. They had planned the wedding to be in San Antonio, but due to circumstances out of their control, they had it in El Paso, TX. After many changes in plans, an emotional rollercoaster, and planning up until the day of the wedding, it finally came. El Paso is a wonderful city located between several mountain ranges and has a desert/mountain kind of feel to it (definitely West Texas). The church was up on this hill with spectacular views, and the reception was in this one-of-a-kind restaurant only a few yards from the Mexican border. This was an adventure for me (destination wedding) and a wonderful day, that will never be forgotton by two, head-over-heels-in-love people who are very special.... Congratulations T&J....

Beauty comes in 3's....
We got a phone call and set up a portrait session for a mom to have her three daughters photographed. After a schedule change, and an 8 am portrait session time, a compromise, and many miles traveled to be together for the Thanksgiving holiday, in walks three beautiful young ladies: Andrea, Elaina, and Jennifer. Mom seemed so proud of each one. Knowing this I wanted to capture them at their best. I used a new lighting technique (thanks Hanson and John W) and the images turned out fantabulous. I'm excited to see mom's reaction when she views them for the first time....

FFA National Band Member....
Mark L. is a sophomore at O'Connor HS. He was nominated and made the FFA National Band Squad. That's quite an accomplishment. His mom is so proud of him that she wanted a portrait made. Over the Thanksgiving break we photographed him at the high school. Since FFA is a big part of his life, we decided on the Barns of the Ag area. I'm pleased with the images. Enjoy.....
