Acting Future....
Rocio came to us for an Acting Headshot session. She knew about us from her sister, Dallas. We did her senior portraits last year. Rocio is a down-to-earth, intelligent, and beautiful young lady. The funny memory I'll take from this session is when Rocio was telling us about the roles she's played in her acting career. Her biggest role was the nameless jogger. I can't explain the details but I thought it was funny. The images turned out great and Rocio seemed very pleased with her choices. Maybe we'll be seeing more of her in the future... If so, we can say we helped on her path to fame....

To Be Young and In Love.....
I remember back in the day, when Michelle and I were young and in love. The giggles, laughing at the littlest things. Wanting so badly to please and impress eachother, that sometimes we did some silly things (like wearing buttons with the others picture on it, as if to say, "I belong to her".) Longing to be together when we were apart. And not wanting to leave when we had to. Greg and Savannah reminded us of those days. We met Greg when we did his senior portraits, and I met Savannah in one of my classes at school. Greg is a very intelligent, respectful, and level-headed young man. Savannah is a beautiful, authentic, fashiony, and organized young lady. Together we think they make a beautiful couple. Before the session started, Savannah planned out what types of images they wanted. I was looking forward to being able to create the images, and with Savannah's ideas, and both of their creative and willing personalitites it all came together. The one funny story I have to mention is that one of the locations we photographed in, there was this smell I can describe and be courteous at the same time. Lauren (Savannah's sister) called it "Ode d'Chloe". Let's just say I'll never forget that spot. We had a fun time, and the images turned out fantabulous.... Savannah and Greg were very pleased. Greg and Savannah, thanks for choosing CK for this special occasion, we are so honored to be part of it. Up next, the bridal portraits, then the wedding..... Here's a link to a video from the session... Enjoy....

A Genuine Football Fan.....
Allie came to us via JM High School. We photographed her sister a few years back, so doing a good job with her and a matter of time, brought the Houston family back to us for Allie's Sr portraits. Allie is a sassy, amibitious, outgoing, and spunky, young lady. She plans on attending a college in North Dakota where she'll pursue a degree in education. Allie says she loves North Dakota, but I don't think she's gonna like the cold weather (that's one good thing about good 'ol hot Texas). Allie brought her friend Kiersten (sorry if I mispelled her name), so there wasn't a dull moment during the session. Allie also brought her dog, Dakota, and she was funny to watch. Everytime Allie's dad would tell Dakota to stay, she'd get up and start to walk away, then he'd tell her to go back and she would literally walk backwards and sit down in the exact spot she left. Our session took us from the haybarn to the Texas flag, then to the swing, with a short stint in the grass, and finished up in the studio. Did I mention Allie is a die-hard Nebraska Cornhusker fan. When she was playing with the football, in the studio, she was showing her football faces, doing touchdown dances, and throwing spirals. I thought, "her dad certainly made her into a geniune, soon-to-be-a-tailgatin', football fan." Women that love football are a dime a dozen, so my hat goes off to Mr. Houston. We had a fun time, and the images turned out great. Click here to watch a short video from the session, and here to see some more images on the site. Enjoy....
